URSA is a non-profit charitable organization incorporated in Calgary in 1985, that supports over 300 individuals each year and we strive to provide the best home environment necessary for community-based rehabilitation for the individuals who are a part of our services. While we have stable funding in place to support the agency operations, we rely on the generosity of the community to help us bring the “extras” to those we serve. Donations made to URSA are directed to the area of greatest need, which includes:
- Ensuring that each individual lives in a beautiful home that has the support and resources needed to promote the highest quality of life.
- Purchasing adaptive equipment that support independence and skill development.
- Supporting us to purchase the necessary furniture, equipment and supplies to open our two new day program sites in Calgary and Airdrie.
- Addressing emergent and critical needs in the organization.
Our annual fundraising goal for 2024 – 2025 is estimated at $50,000. URSA does not utilize professional fundraisers and the cost of making solicitations is covered under current administrative employee salaries.
A donation of any amount makes a difference to individuals in our service and we thank you for thinking of URSA as part of your planned giving!
