Program Manager, Complex Medical Needs
Reporting to the Program Director, Program Manager, Complex Medical Needs is responsible for the overall supervision and direction of assigned programs to ensure comprehensive and quality services are offered to the community. The Program Manager is responsible to ensure that services operate according to funder guidelines, best and promising practices and agency policy and procedures and budgets and health and safety standards are adhered to. In addition, this position is also responsible to support and give recommendations on the medical needs of the individuals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the recruitment, coaching, performance management and on-going supervision of Program Coordinators and other assigned positions.
- Provides clinical consultation services to medical professionals and family members of individuals who are experiencing concurrent complex medical health problems during transition and discharge planning.
- Ensure all program sites comply with health and safety standards, accreditation standards and all relevant legislation.
- Completing meal preparation and baking in accordance with approved menu plans
- Stays current on all relevant health concerns, coordinates and corresponds with medical professionals and other health care professionals to ensure that all health needs are addressed in a timely manner, identifying when additional support may be needed.
- Leads the intake process, ensuring that individuals are matched to appropriate services and that funding is in place to meet needs of each individual.

Recreation Therapist
Reporting to the RN/Program Coordinator, the Recreation Therapist is accountable in providing comprehensive recreational services to individuals at one of URSA’s sites. The incumbent of this role plays a key role in enhancing the lives of all individuals we provide care and support to. This role is responsible for assessing the individual’s recreation and leisure needs, developing treatment plans and providing therapeutic programs/ activities to meet the individual’s unique needs. URSA facilitates the development of individuals within a 24-hour wholistic model which includes engaging individuals in all areas of wellness and development.
Some of the responsibilities of the position include:
- Assist children and adolescents from diverse populations to cope with the impact of hospitalization. This position plans, develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates developmental and normalization of activities, including therapeutic play programs, in order to further the social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth of children and adolescents.
- Design, implement and evaluate a robust therapeutic recreational program that meets the needs of individuals and programs.
- Periodically review all therapeutic activities to ensure that they are continuing to meet the individual’s needs.
- Obtain information from medical records, individual’s file, program staff, family members and the individual’s themselves to assess capabilities, needs and interests.
- Design and implement a robust therapeutic recreational program that meets the needs of individuals within the program.
- Facilitate, instruct and motivate individuals in therapeutic recreation activities

Housekeeper
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, this position is essential to the day-to-day operations and running of the program or site. In order to succeed as a housekeeper you must be kind, team oriented, respectful, and flexible.
- Ensuring the facility and its environments (group home grounds) are kept clean, uncluttered and well maintained
- Completing cleaning duties within the home in an organized and timely fashion as per group home Housekeeper checklist and Agency standards
- Assisting with sewing projects (i.e., curtains, shirt protectors)
- Completing meal preparation and baking in accordance with approved menu plans
- Completing household laundry as required
- Assisting with special projects (spring cleaning, preparing food platters for special events)
- Monitoring and informing Manager/Supervisor of maintenance issues

Team Lead
The Team Lead reports to the Program Coordinator and is responsible for the assessment of individual needs and the general care of the individuals within a 24-hour Wholistic Model. Additionally, the Team Lead supports the coordinator in leading the team, provides guidance and coaching, and directs work as necessary. The team lead will use a wholistic approach to provide care, activities and intentional programming both in the home and the community that focuses on enhanced quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
This position not only provides front line care but is also involved in the administration and day-to-day operation of an URSA site.

Community Rehabilitation Worker – CRW (25, 30, and 40 hours)
As a Community Rehabilitation Worker, you will work in a team setting to support your co-workers and the individuals at one of our programs through URSA’s wholistic approach in providing personal growth and excellence. You will ensure that each individual is being assisted with personal care such as but not limited to bathing, toileting, catheter care, changing, grooming, feeding, and dressing. As well, you will be responsible for administering minor health care responsibilities and promoting the health and safety of staff and individuals. Through each individual’s care plan, you will manage and assist with Activities of Daily Living such as tube feeding, wound dressing, and medication after the completion of training by a Regulated Health Care Professional.
